Manpower Requirement – Mechanical Shutdown Project

Pelletizing Plant | Oman

Al Nahdha Overseas LLC is mobilizing experienced mechanical shutdown manpower for an upcoming Pelletizing Plant Shutdown Project in Oman. The project involves large-scale mechanical shutdown execution with multi-disciplinary teams and strict safety compliance.

Project Type: Short-term Shutdown Contract
Project Location: Pelletizing Plant, Oman
Project Duration: 2 to 5 months (role dependent)
Working Hours: 12 hours/day, 6 days/week
Overtime: Applicable on pro-rata basis


Open Positions

1. Construction Manager – Mechanical Shutdown

Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for mechanical shutdown execution, manpower management (300+ personnel), planning, safety, quality assurance, and client coordination.

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma – Mechanical
Experience:

  • 10–15 years total

  • Minimum 7 years in Kiln & Cooler / Pelletizing shutdown projects

  • Minimum 5 years GCC experience

Joining: Immediate / January 2026
Duration: 4–5 months


2. Site / Planning Engineer – Mechanical

Responsibilities:
Daily planning, monitoring execution, progress reporting, manpower coordination (200+ personnel), and client interface.

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma – Mechanical
Experience:

  • 7–10 years shutdown experience (Kiln & Cooler preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years GCC experience

Joining: Immediate
Duration: 4–5 months


3. Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:
Supervision of mechanical works, daily planning, safety and quality compliance, and reporting.

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma – Mechanical
Experience: 5–7 years shutdown or maintenance experience

Joining: Immediate
Duration: 4–5 months


4. Mechanical Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Supervision of site activities, manpower control (20–25 workers), safety implementation, toolbox talks, and progress monitoring.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E. – Mechanical
Experience:

  • 5–7 years shutdown experience

  • Minimum 2 years GCC experience

Joining: February
Duration: 3–4 months


5. Foreman / PTW Holder – Mechanical

Responsibilities:
Permit-to-Work (PTW) issuing and control, supervision of mechanical activities, and safety compliance.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical
Experience:

  • 5–10 years shutdown experience with PTW

  • Minimum 3 years GCC experience

Joining: February
Duration: 3–4 months


6. Fabricator

Responsibilities:
Fabrication, cutting, fit-up works, drawing interpretation, and shutdown support.

Qualification: ITI / Trade Certificate (Trade test mandatory)
Experience: 5–10 years industrial or shutdown experience

Joining: March – 1st week
Duration: 2–3 months


7. Fitter

Responsibilities:
Mechanical fitting, assembly, fit-up works, and shutdown support activities.

Qualification: ITI / Trade Certificate (Trade test mandatory)
Experience: 5–10 years shutdown experience

Joining: March – 1st week
Duration: 2–3 months


8. Millwright Fitter

Responsibilities:
Equipment installation, alignment, dismantling, and maintenance support.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical (Trade test mandatory)
Experience: 3–7 years industrial or shutdown experience

Joining: March – 1st week
Duration: 2–3 months


9. Gas Cutter

Responsibilities:
Oxy-fuel cutting of pipes, plates, and steel structures for shutdown activities.

Qualification: ITI / Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience: 2–4 years industrial cutting experience

Joining: March – 1st week
Duration: 2–3 months


10. Welder – ARC (6G)

Responsibilities:
ARC welding of pipes, plates, and structures as per approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).

Qualification: ITI / Welder Trade Certificate (Trade test mandatory)
Experience: 2–5 years industrial or shutdown welding experience

Joining: March – 1st week
Duration: 2–3 months


11. PTW Coordinator – Mechanical Shutdown

Responsibilities:
Permit-to-Work (PTW) control, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) verification, safety coordination, permit closure, and documentation.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical (Client PTW exam mandatory)
Experience: 3–5 years PTW coordination experience in shutdown projects

Joining: February
Duration: 3–4 months
